Ever wondered about the slimy water that builds up in your Thetford Top Tank filler neck; let alone what the water inside that tank might look, smell or be like?

Here are a couple of tips to take care of all of that;

Top Tank filler Neck.

  1. Refer to the below picture.
  2. Extend the filler neck away from the caravan and remove the cap
  3. Rotate to the left in accordance with the inbuilt stop tabs; once empty rotate back to the right / the upright position and you are done.

Top Tank.

  1. Again, refer to the below picture.
  2. Locate the site glass filler tube – it’s a glass thingy (usually on the LHS looking at the cassette) attached at the top with a straight rubber flexible connector and at the bottom with a curved rubber flexible connector.
  3. Unclip the sight glass filler tube from the plastic retainer u-clip located at the base of the tube.
  4. Hold the sight filler tube and the straight rubber flexible connector and gently twist the site glass filler tube out of the straight rubber flexible connector. This will allow you to lower the sight glass filler tube down which will then drain the lower tank.
  5. When it runs dry reconnect everything and fill the tank and you are done.

Happy and smell free travelling.
